Rose Hill is located on over 400 acres in Holly, MI and considered to be a therapeutic farm community. The program provides medication support, education, and training to help people from all over the country achieve their highest level of independence. The program is accredited through the Joint Commission and licensed by the State of Michigan.

Master’s Level Clinician

Rose Hill is looking for an MSW to provide full-time clinical services in our Residential Rehabilitation Program. Candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communications skills, sensitivity for confidential information, critical thinking, and effective interpersonal skills. Strong organizational skills and proficiency in MSWord and Excel are required. Accuracy and attention to detail are a must.

This position reports to the Director of Admissions and Clinical Services.

Duties include:

  • Provide case management services and counsel to residents in individual or group sessions to assist them in developing skills to manage symptoms of mental illness.
  • Monitor, evaluate, and record resident progress, and develop treatment plans to help residents meet their treatment goals.
  • Modify treatment plans according to changes in resident status.
  • Conduct individual and group therapy with residents.
  • Collaborate with therapists, physicians, nurses and other staff to plan and coordinate treatment, drawing on social work experience and resident needs.
  • Work with families to assist them in understanding and supporting the resident to support long term sustainable recovery.
  • Educate residents, staff and those in the greater community about mental illness, abuse, trauma, medication, or available community resources.
  • Maintain resident records to ensure regulatory compliance.

Clinical Therapist

Providing contractual therapy services on a part-time basis in our Residential Rehabilitation Program. This position reports to the Clinical Director.

Duties include:

  •  Facilitating group therapy
  •  Conducting individual therapy

Requirements:

  •  LMSW or LLP with appropriate State of Michigan licensure
  •  Family therapy experience preferred
  •  Minimum four years’ experience preferred

Admissions Supervisor

The Admissions Supervisor is responsible for census development and maintenance for inpatient psychiatric residential rehabilitation with an average length of stay of 9-12 months. Leads the Admissions Team to secure appropriate admissions and in accordance with Rose Hill’s Mission, Vision, and Values. Assists prospective residents, their families and referral agents through the admission process. Assists as assigned with marketing functions.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Demonstrate the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues.
  • Have the ability to meet the physical, intellectual, emotional, and social needs of residents with varying degrees of mental illness or disability.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly and effectively determine financial and medical qualification of potential residents and use selling skills to advance the admission process.
  • Demonstrate enhanced skills in assessment of psychiatric patients.
  • Works collaboratively and interdependently with residents and families, staff, and external entities to accomplish positive census and public relations results.
  • Demonstrate effective utilization of a teamwork approach with residents, visitors, families, staff at all levels, and external agencies.
  • Demonstrate strong organizational skills in project management; consistently meets sensitive deadlines.
  • Demonstrate flexibility; is able to respond appropriately to unexpected requests and situations.

  • Demonstrate the ability to utilize various computer software programs and implement systems to track contacts and admissions.

Education / Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in social or human services with qualifying state licensure. Relevant experience in assessment of persons with psychiatric diagnoses and review of historical assessments. Previous experience in supervising a team is preferred.

Activity Coordinator

The Activities Coordinator plans and prepares resident special events and general activities. Provide support to Team Support Specialists when a House Coordinator is not available. Provide support and assistance in programming to assist individuals with mental illness to achieve a high level of functioning and independence.

This role has a fixed schedule Tuesday-Sunday, 1 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.

Provides direction for the planning and implementation of:

  • Resident special events.
  • Recreation schedules for all Rose Hill Center programs, and physical activity programming (second shift and weekends).
  • Available to provide supportive monitoring of residents.
  • Support all aspects of the Rose Hill program, enabling the residents to achieve treatment goals.
  • Document activity in the resident charts.
  • Communication to Clinical Team as needed.
  • Observe, monitor and report changes in residents’ behavior.
  • Provide personal care, protection, and supervision to the residents.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Associates degree or equivalent experience in a health care service field.
  • Demonstrate the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues.
  • Must be 18 years of age
  • Capable of handling emergency situations
  • Ability to read and write well and follow oral and written instructions, and the ability to complete the training to obtain and maintain valid chauffeur’s license and necessary certifications, included but not limited to CPR and First Aid.

Team Support Specialist

Team Support Specialists are the primary support providers to our residents. Team Support Specialists work hard every day to offer emotional support and help them achieve and maintain their highest level of independence. This is accomplished by supporting their individualized goals through our work team activities, group therapies, and engagement in social activities. Team Support Specialists demonstrate the ability to engage residents in a welcoming, hopeful, empathetic manner regardless of illness or phase of recovery and use principles of trauma informed care and a willingness to support and assist residents with trauma related issues. Rose Hill provides a great opportunity for students in social work, nursing and other health care programs to gain valuable experience working in mental health, learning about psychiatric medication administration, and other aspects of mental health care. No physical ADL care is required when working in the Team Support Specialist role.
