Mental illness claims many lives each year, while others living with these conditions are unable to maintain a stable, independent life. At Rose Hill Center, we focus on helping individuals re-establish stability and self-esteem. During your time in our Residential Rehabilitation Program, you’ll acquire the necessary tools to overcome the symptoms of mental health disorders, build life skills and achieve a positive future.
About Treatment at Our Residential Rehabilitation Program
For the majority of residents, our Residential Rehabilitation Program is the first step to long-term stability and independence. While under 24/7 supervision, you’ll have access to supportive therapies, staff members, and activities that promote lasting recovery. While the length of your stay may vary, most people stay for six to 12 months.
During their stay, residents live comfortably in private or semi-private rooms. These rooms are near the community dining room, where residents gather to eat and socialize with peers in recovery.
We offer multiple stages of mental health treatment at our Residential Rehabilitation Program. These stages form a clear path as part of each resident’s customized treatment plan.
How Residential Rehab Works at Rose Hill
At Rose Hill, residents start with an intensive, comprehensive assessment period. During this period, our professionals work with them to form an effective treatment plan. This plan addresses all areas of independent living in order to prepare individuals for life after treatment at Rose Hill. Although the plan forms a clear path for treatment, it’s actually flexible for ongoing review, update, and revision. Facets of an individual’s recovery plan may include:
- Group and individual therapy
- Dialectical behavioral therapy
- Cognitive behavioral therapy
- Psychoeducational and 12-step community groups
- Neurobiofeedback (available by referral)
- Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy
All residents will have a dedicated case manager who will oversee all treatment and work closely with them in order to achieve individual goals. Once oriented to the structure of the program, residents start their work within three stages of treatment. These stages include individual responsibilities, goals, and privileges.
How Work Teams Promote Responsibility and Accountability
In order to replicate a real-world work environment, we have residents join one of four works teams. The idea is to promote a sense of responsibility while helping them develop job skills like dependability and teamwork. Our work teams include:
- Housekeeping
- Kitchen responsibilities
- Horticulture
- Farm animal care
Learning Opportunities
At Rose Hill, we also offer optional academic services for GED or college credit. Employment training is also available with career guidance. These learning opportunities provide residents with solid tools for job advancement in their home community.
Recreational and Creativity Options
Recreation and creativity are part of any healthy lifestyle. During their time at our Residential Rehabilitation Program, residents can enjoy fitness activities, yoga, team sports, work-out facilities and other opportunities for getting and staying physically fit. Art, music, and other creative options are also available.
