Upon admission a $250.00 deposit is required which will be put into a seperate escrow account.  The escrow account will be used by Rose Hill staff to obtain necessary treatment in the community for the patient (i.e. medication, medication co-pays, lab work, medical treatment, etc.)  Each month you will receive a statement of the status of this account, including an itemization of funds disbursed, along with the statement (per diem charges) for services rendered at Rose Hill Center.  It is required that you maintain the $250.00 balance in this account on a monthly basis.

Rose Hill Center offers a full range of Services & Activities to patients in our residential programs.

Sources for funding

Securing funding for treatment of a mental illness in a residential setting can be challenging for patients and families.  Please review the Financial Assistance information below. Sometimes patients from Michigan can receive support from their Community Mental Health (CMH) agency. This assistance is provided on an individual case basis and referral is determined by CMH.

After the patient is admitted, if the patient and family wish, our experienced staff will research eligibility for, federal or state benefits if applicable  (i.e. Supplemental Social Security, Social Security Disability Insurance or Medicaid).  We also will provide, upon request, invoices for clinical services which may be reimbursed through private insurance.  However, because Rose Hill Center is neither a psychiatric hospital nor an outpatient clinic, we have found that many insurance carriers decline coverage.

Financial Assistance

For families who are unable to pay the full daily rate at Rose Hill, a Financial Assistance Program funded by Rose Hill Foundation has been established.  Grants may be offered, prior to admission, based on financial need and the availability of Financial Assistance funds.  Financial assistance is not available to patients who are receiving services through one of Michigan’s public mental health organizations.

To be considered for financial assistance, the potential resident and/or family should discuss the Financial Assistance Program with the Admission Department.

Following that conversation, there are two financial assistance application forms that must be completed:

An instruction guide outlining the financial assistance application process is also available:
